Making Faces

Saving Face.

Three players lined up facing the rest of the players.

The player in the middle is given some important title, like king or CEO. The players on either side are doing the middle players bidding. For purposes of this explanation we will have a Queen in the middle with two servants on her left and right. The queen will engage these servants with various servant like tasks. However, there are some respect issues in this monarchy. When the queen is looking left the player on the right is mocking her. When the queen is looking right the player on her left is mocking her. The goal for the servants is to make greater and greater irreverent gestures and faces until they get caught. When the queen catches a player mocking her the player is fired and replaced. This continues until the queen is dead. Long live the queen.

The goal of Making Faces is to have fun. It is also about commitment to the faces that the players make. They should not be competing, they should be failing and getting fired with grace and laughter.

  • None.

  • Monarch.
