Introduction

The performers will make a series of puns, gags and answers formed as questions based on your suggestion.

Description

Line Gag is a structure that is both an exercise and a handle. This is the handle version of the structure called Jeopardy. For a detailed explanation of line gags see the exercise Line Gags

For Jeopardy the host should pick a noun for the performers to riff off of. Once this is established the performers will step out and vomit gag juice all over the audience with a series of set up puns.

There is a famous game show where the players question answers and make money. This is a parody of this game show. The difference here is that all the performers keep making up lots of questions for the answer that the host has collected.

Let’s consider the offer barbecue. Performers would step forward to create question that give the “answer” barbecue. “What is a backyard device for partially cremating dead animals?” “What is a coal fired metal sphere that smells up the neighborhood?”

Gimmicks

  • None.

Variations

  • Competitive – any line gag where host conducts and the audience eliminates performers when they don’t like the question.
