The players work together form a rhythm saying earth-orbit-earth-orbit. Once the rhythm is nicely established player orbit starts to talk. They will speak slowly adding a new word each beat, instead of saying orbit. Player earth will then repeat the word that player had just said. The theory is that a listener will hear two simultaneous stories that are the same but slightly delayed. Voice delay is a phenomena of satellite communications.

Pass Yes

By | February 8, 2019

Pass Yes is a variation of the warm up Simulclap. Instead of the clapping the players simultaneously say “yes” together. To save a lot of cut and paste substitute “yes” with clap below. The goal is to have the word yes race around the circle.

Silent Scene

By | August 2, 2010

A Silent scene is an open scene without spoken language. Players are encouraged to explore emotions and communication through body language, facial expression, and mime objects. Like any open scene a silent scene is strongest when grounded in reality. The leader should encourage players to not use overt gestures or hand signals to replace the spoken word. It is not a charades scene it is a Silent Scene. Sound effects, sighs, groans or tears should not short cut silent communication.
