Introduction

This warm up will help us learn names. Please form a circle.

Description

Once the players have formed a circle each player contributes their name. After this first pass is done each player will repeat their name and add an alliteration that makes them sound fantastical. For example, Brilliant Brian, Excellent Eric, Super Susan. The leader should encourage the players to make positive alliterations about themselves. On the next pass the players repeat their super name and strike a pose that reflects the name. For example Super Susan may strike the classic flying super hero pose. Now everyone in the circle repeats everyone else’s magnified moniker and makes the appropriate maneuver.

Alliteration Introduction helps the players get a bit more comfortable with silly. This warm up also helps activate listening to words and actions simultaneously.
